About Us
My dad took me to my first dog show when I was a child and I was hooked.
I showed a couple of Boxers and a couple of Labrador Retrievers in the early 1980's. Then came marriage, children, and divorce. As a single mother, my dreams were put on the back burner. I am a lifetime member of the CKC with the "Reichaire" prefix thought I never bred a litter with that prefix. I adopted the "Vallnery" prefix in 2011!
When I remarried, my husband I started looking for a show dog. Border Collies were not able to be shown in CKC conformation at that time, so I looked for another breed and was put on a waiting list. Fate intervened by them not producing what I wanted. Then Border Collies were then re-admitted to CKC events in September 2007. My husband, Paul, suggested that as we both loved Heidi (our rescue Border Collie cross dog) , why not look for a Border Collie? After searching the internet I found Laura Shaw of Bellaclan Border Collies and filled out a puppy application. In March 2009 our first Border Collie "Vallen" Can CH Bellaclan Midnight Magic joined our family as our foundation bitch.
One day Paul saw a picture of a golden EE red Border Collie and said he would like to have a female that colour. I stumbled across the Wilsong Kennels website in the USA and Judy had a golden female puppy available and so Wilsong Southern Glory at Reichaire (Nerys) became part of our gang.
In 2012 our first litter arrived sired by #1 BC USA, BIS BISS Am Grand CH Bon-Clyde Take One "Action" and we kept "Tina" Can CH Vallnery Daddy's Little Girl. In 2014 Vallen's Second litter was born from #2 BC Canada, Group Winning Am Can CH Noteworthy Prophecy In Time HIC HT CGN RN "Parker" and we kept "Tigger" Vallnery Wish You Were Here. In late 2014 we attained a second bitch from Laura K. S. Shaw at Bellaclan, "Blake" Bellaclan Gossip Girl XOXO, she came for a visit and we let Laura "forget" to come back for her! *winks*
Our dogs are part of our family, they live in the house and sleep on the bed! We are located 45 minutes east of Pearson International airport in Ontario, Canada.
